Our Facilities - Avenue Of Honour

2015 saw the proud opening of Yarrambat Primary School's Avenue of Honour. This breath-taking feature honours the 100th anniversary of the Gallipoli Landing and pays tribute to 11 men from the Yarrambat Primary community who served in World War 1.

The avenue features eleven pear trees, each with a sign dedicated to the memory of:

Almost standing guard of the Avenue is a descendent of the original Lone Pine. It serves to remind the Yarrambat Primary and broader community of the sacrifices all service men and women made in not only World War 1, but in all wars, peace-keeping and military events since.

The Avenue of Honour will now play host to future ANZAC Day services for the school and its community.

A big thank you to school parents David Marasco and Andrew Shephard, as well as the Diamond Creek RSL, for their support during this important project.
