Meet Our Principal – Luke Franklin

Hello, and welcome to Yarrambat Primary School.

My name is Luke Franklin, and I am incredibly proud to serve as the Principal of this unique and welcoming school community. I bring to this role a strong passion for student learning and wellbeing, which are at the heart of every decision I make as an educational leader.

Over the course of my career, I’ve had the privilege of working in a range of educational settings and roles – including Assistant Principal, Leading Teacher, Learning Specialist, Classroom Teacher and Specialist Teacher in both Physical Education and Science. These varied experiences have given me a deep understanding of how students learn best and the importance of high-quality teaching practice across all stages of learning.

I believe in creating a strong and inclusive school culture built on respect, trust and collaboration. I am committed to working in partnership with our students, parents, staff and the wider community to foster a learning environment where every child feels valued, supported and inspired to thrive.

As a local resident and a parent of two children in the government education system, I understand the significance of quality public education. I’m deeply invested in the success of Yarrambat Primary School.

Together, we will continue to build on the school's strengths and traditions, while ensuring every child has the opportunity to reach their full potential.
